I don’t think any of these makes sense. Any experienced software engineer would have a different opinion on this. I think this article is highly opinionated by the author. I totally disagree on the loyalty vs the pay raise thing.. Those days of loyalty have gone. These days if you keep your job it’s a big thing in midst of all the layoffs
